Demographic Composition:

 

Kabong, one of the largest Electoral Wards in the country, is home to at least …………………. Thousand inhabitants living in about ……………………………thousand homes.

About …….% of these are indigenous Berom with about …….% comprising of other tribes from within and outside the State.

The indigenous Berom people of Kabong have enjoyed a peaceful coexistent history alongside the Anagutas, Rukubas, Ngas, Gomais, Taroks, Afizeres, Ibos, Fulanis, Hausas, Irigwes, Yurubas, Urogbos, Tangale-Wajas, Madas, Tivs, Calabaris and many others ethnic nationalities including Ghanaians, Indians, Europeans, Americans, Arabs, Asians, and many other African Nationals who had lived or are still living within the serene boundaries of Kabong District over the years.  

 

Geographical Composition:

 

Kabong District covers an estimated area of about ……………………Sqkm that is bordered on the outside by Ji-She (Tudun Wada) to the south, by Dong (?) on the West, by Rot Nnorong (Wes of mines?) on the east and on the north by Be Hwol (Farin Gada?).

On the inside, the District comprises of the following village communities; Kabong (Gada Biyu) which is the administrative headquarters of the traditional District Head (Da. Gwom Kabong), Gura Lo Gbwagi (Janta Adamu), Gura Lo Majai (Angwan Suya), Landengere (West Side), Ji-Kabong (Rukuba Road), Landura (Alheri), Rwogo Rarwat (Utan), Kagara (Rock Haven) and Vorok (?).  

 

Local Authority:

 

As a traditional constituency, Kabong District is under the authority of the Da. Gwom Kabong who is the Constitutional District Head of Kabong.

 

The Da. Gwom however rules his subjects indirectly through the Head of each of the Village Communities within Kabong District (Gwom).

 

The Village Heads in turn control their ‘constituencies’ through the Head of each of the Hamlets or settlements within their Village boundaries (Ward Heads).
